Abstract

In this investigation, certain rosemary residues as powdered dry and mashed fresh leaves with their aqueous extracts were used for biocontrolling root-knot nematode, M. incognita on field pea cv. Concessa under screen house conditions. On the basis of mean total percentages nematode reduction, the highest percentage reduction was achieved by using extract of powdered dry leaves (80.3%) followed by those of extract of mashed fresh leaves (79.3%) and residue of mashed fresh leaves (69.1%). Gall reduction was 70% by using mashed fresh leaves followed by extracts of powdered dry leaves and mashed fresh leaves (65%).The highest percentages increase in number of bacterial nodules was achieved by powdered dry leaves followed by increase using mashed fresh leaves. Also, the tested materials improved growth and yield (Pods) criteria of pea.
