Abstract
This article deals with the optimality aspects of directional neighbor balanced block design under the assumption of randomness of block effects, both under additive and neighbor × direct effects non-additive model. Some classes of designs have been shown to be universally optimal for the estimation of direct effects of treatments as well as neighbor effects for the above situations.
