Abstract

Goldoust et al. introduced two different distribution, the so-called exponential geometric power series distributions. In this note, we discuss the main differences between these two models, proposing different nomenclature for then, as well as for their submodels avoiding ambiguity. Moreover, we present two simple extensions for the new classes of distributions that have the same number of parameters, but it is more flexible to fit data.
