Randomized response trial using negative binomial distribution

Pages 6002-6010 | Received 17 Aug 2019, Accepted 10 Nov 2021, Published online: 29 Jun 2022

Abstract

Randomized response (RR) technique using the Negative Binomial distribution was proposed by Hussain et al. It showed numerically that the method performs better than some of the existing methods including Kuk. However, the method of comparison of the efficiencies used by them was not fair. A more appropriate method of comparison is, therefore, proposed in this article and it is found that Kuk’s RR is better than the Hussain et al.’s in terms of execution and efficiency.
