Jonathan Cohen
Jonathan Cohen, an awarding-winning translator and scholar of inter-American literature, has published several books of Ernesto Cardenal’s poetry. He edited Cardenal’s Pluriverse (2009), the most complete collection of his poems in English. He is the author of seminal works on Pablo Neruda and Muna Lee, and the compiler of William Carlos Williams’s translations of Spanish-language poetry, By Word of Mouth (2011). His latest book is his translation of Pedro Mir’s Two Elegies of Hope (2019) [reviewed in this issue].
