ABSTRACT

A new fossil of the genus Eneriblatta (currently in Archimylacridae) is described from the Douro basin (lower Gzhelian, Upper Pennsylvanian) in northwestern Portugal, under the name Eneriblatta sp. The new specimen is the fifth Portuguese fossil of this roachoid genus, otherwise known from the Upper Pennsylvanian of France. The five other species currently in this genus are compared to the new material, allowing to transfer Eneriblatta from Archimylacridae into Phyloblattidae. All these fossils show identical general forewing patterns, very long and narrow with very long ScP and CuA, unlikely to be due to taphonomic biases.
