Iver B. Neumann is Director of The Fridtjof Nansen Institute, Norway. He has previously served as professor at the University of Oslo and the London School of Economics. Einar Wigen is associate professor of Turkish studies at the University of Oslo, where he works on political legitimacy and imperial legacies in Turkey, the Ottoman Empire and the wider Turkic world.
