Melvyn Fookes

Melvyn Fookes is a chartered accountant. Having completed a successful business career, he entered higher education, graduating with a BA (Hons) in PPE at the Open University before achieving an MA in International Relations at the University of Nottingham. He is a PhD candidate in the School of Politics and International Relations, supervised by Professor Andrew Mumford and Assistant Professor Jason Klocek. His research focuses on proxy war, with an emphasis on theoretical concepts that inform our understanding of the sponsor/proxy relationship.
