Abstract

A simple, one-pot and green synthesis of six 2-[3-(aroyl)-selenoureido])-benzamide and 2-arylquinazolin-4(3H)-ones has been achieved in moderate to good yields via a three-component condensation of 2-aminobenzamide, variously substituted benzoyl chlorides and potassium selenocyanate under solvent-free conditions and in the presence of triethylamine.
