Abstract
In this study, a novel acidic natural surface-modified nanoclinoptilolite (NCP@SiO3PrHMTASO3H) have been designed, synthesized, and fully characterized using various analytical techniques (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), and Thermogravimetric–Analyses (TG). In addition, NCP@SiO3PrHMTASO3H nanocatalyst have been found to catalyze effectively the multi-component synthesis of Manich base containing coumarin moiety under solvent-free condition. This novel heterogeneous catalyst is easily recycled and reused several times.
