Abstract
The 1,5-di(p-iodophenyl)-3,7-bis(pyrid-2-)yl-1,5-diaza-3,7-diphosphacyclooctane was obtained via reaction of pyridylphosphine, paraformaldehyde and 4-iodoaniline. The ligand reacts with Pd(COD)Cl2 to form bischelate cationic Pd(II) or monochelate neutral Pd(II) complexes depending on a ligand-metal ratio. The structures of new ligand and both complexes were confirmed by NMR-spectroscopy, mass-spectrometry and elemental analysis.
