Abstract
Yttrium manganite (YMnO3) and Chromium doped yttrium manganite (YMn1-xCrxO3) ceramic samples were prepared by sol-gel auto-combustion method. The as-prepared samples were annealed at 900 °C and sintered using conventional and microwave techniques. The influence of sintering technique on the structural and electrical properties was studied. The detailed structural investigations were carried out using X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Fourier Transform Infra-red Spectroscopy (FTIR) studies. The variation of room temperature dielectric constant, dielectric loss and ac conductivity were studied as a function of frequency in the range 100 Hz–1 MHz using Agilent HP 4284A LCR(Inductance, Capacitance and Resistance) metre.
