Notes

1. In response to a reviewer comment, alternative measures of severity of the reading and math disability were tested as possible moderators. A Cohen’s d value representing the difference in reading and math skills between control and disabled groups within each study was calculated, resulting in six possible moderators (reading control vs. RD only, math control vs. RD only, reading control vs. MD only, math control vs. MD only, reading control vs. RD+MD, and math control vs. RD+MD). Although doing a moderator analysis using these values would contribute a more continuous visualization of the difference between control and disability groups, results were not significant.
