Abstract

This paper researches the oil property from three different districts in Daqing Oilfield. And then the sulfur contents in crude oil and emulsified oil is tested to explore the dissolution of surfactant into oil phase. Furthermore, the influence of oil property on the interfacial tension and oil displacement effect are studied. Results indicates that, according to the theory that similarities can be solvable easily in each other, the surfactant is likely to enter the crude oil with more heavy components. And thus few of them adsorb at the oil-water interface and the activity reduces. As a result, the interfacial tension increases, which causes the oil displacement effect to become worse.
