ABSTRACT

This study aimed to examine how leader-member exchange (LMX) influences employee voice in the Chinese hospitality industry by drawing upon the conservation of resources theory (COR). Based on 231 supervisor-subordinate dyads, the results suggest that LMX is positively related to employee voice, psychological safety mediates the relationship between LMX and employee voice, and job autonomy strengthens the positive effect of LMX on employee voice. Theoretical and managerial implications are discussed.
