ABSTRACT
A destination country is a new geographical area where tourists enjoy many different experiences. It is possible to analyses the tourism efficiency of a country and to evaluate whether the country is harvesting maximum tourism output by managing its diverse range of physical and human resources effectively. This study tried to measure the tourism efficiency for the country level across 170 countries of the globe based on the various resources possessed by them. The study also found that pollution levels of the country can adversely affect tourism efficiency. This perspective of ranking countries made certain small countries to feature in the top of the list concerning tourism efficiency.
