Ann Hughes

Ann Hughes is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and supervisor registered with UKCP & BAPPS. She is a member of the Guild of Psychotherapists, member of the Association for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in The Public Sector (formerly in NHS), and an Associate member of Cambridge Psychotherapy Society.

She has worked in private practice and higher education institutions for the last thirty years in London and East Anglia; until 2021 as College Counsellor at Emmanuel College Cambridge University. She has particular interest in developmental processes of adolescents and young adults, and working with adults struggling with inhibitions or losses in their earlier development which have led to a poor quality of life experience or persistent mental health problems.
