Abstract

It was found that stress displayed an oscillating pattern due to the discontinuous sliding process in samples under compressive loading on diamond Ti6Al4V lattice structure with shells. A simple model used for calculating relative density of diamond lattice structure was proposed and evaluated. Moreover, theoretical models with better precision were suggested to estimate the elastic modulus and yield strength of lattice structures without considering the shells. Besides, a quantitative model was suggested to describe the shell effect on elastic modulus of lattices structures and validated to be acceptable by comparing with current experimental results.
