ABSTRACT

Energy management strategy (EMS) is the core of hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) and directly determines the road performance of HEV. The transient characteristics of traffic information greatly affect the driving condition of the vehicle, making the demand torque or power of the vehicle change regularly with the traffic information. Therefore, based on traffic information fusion and power management to realize multi-objective optimization of EMS for HEV is of practical significance for reducing energy consumption and improving driving performance. The development status of EMS integrated with traffic information has been reviewed in this paper. First, EMS based on rules and optimizations and intelligent algorithms are discussed and compared. Second, the influential mechanism of traffic information on EMS is analyzed from driving condition prediction, multi-objective solution and energy management algorithm optimization. Finally, the main development directions of EMS integrated with traffic information are prospected from various aspects including traffic information acquisition, driving condition determination, energy management architecture, and online update mechanism optimization.
