Elen Flügge

Elen Flügge explores personal and urban sound spaces, through ethnographic and artistic approaches. She recently completed a doctoral thesis investigating inhabitants’ experience of Belfast’s sonic domain, based at SARC as part of the Recomposing the City research group. Her research uses conversational soundwalks to investigate listening practices and interventions for city space. She writes about sound studies and sonic arts and holds an MA in Sound Studies at the University of the Arts, Berlin, and an undergraduate degree from Bard College, NY.
