A conversation with award-winning comic book and fine artist Steve ‘The Dude’ Rude about his career, art, and influences. Also discussed are Nexus, Jack Kirby, Alex Toth and Space Ghost, Doug Wildey and Jonny Quest, Star Trek, Russ Manning, Hal Foster, illustration and design, Superman, why superheroes continue to resonate with modern audiences, and the Nexus newspaper strips.

Jeffery Klaehn

Jeffery Klaehn holds a PhD in communication from the University of Amsterdam and a PhD in sociology from the University of Strathclyde.
