Ni’Shele Jackson

Ni’Shele Jackson (they.them.theirs) is a graduate student pursuing a PhD in Sociology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Their research interests include fat studies, intersectional theory, queer theory, sociology of health and medicine, and sociology of the body. Their current work attempts to contextualize constructions of fatness within a larger biopolitical project that seeks to maintain race, gender, sexuality, and class hierarchies.
