In response to the question, ‘Which of the following (hard-copy or Internet) newspapers did you read yesterday? Choose the main newspaper’, only 66% of those intending to vote for the M5s mentioned a newspaper, but among these readers fully 28% mentioned il Fatto Quotidiano, more than those mentioning Corriere della Sera or la Repubblica, both chosen by 16% of M5s voters.

Diego Ceccobelli is a postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the Scuola Normale Superiore (Florence, Italy). He studies political communication in comparative perspective, with a particular focus on social media and political leaders.
