Benjamin Purser
Benjamin Purser graduated from the Australian National University with a PhB in linguistics, receiving First Class Honors and the University Medal, before completing a Diploma of Performing Arts. He was lead research assistant on the ARC-funded Sydney Speaks project (2014-2019), publishing a recent paper on the use of acoustic vowel data for dialect coaching of Australian English (Purser, Grama, and Travis, Voice and Speech Review, To Appear 2020). Benjamin currently tutors undergraduate linguistics at Macquarie University, where he is Senior Research Officer for the ARC-funded AusKidTalk project, under Felicity Cox. Additionally, Benjamin works as a freelance dialect and voice coach based in Sydney (https://benjaminpurser.com.au/).
