Ana Cláudia Proença

Ana Cláudia Proença is an Environmental Engineer that started her research career focusing on the study of sustainable mobility in cities, with particular attention to the potential for cycling in Starter Cycling Cities in the Generation.Mobi and BooST projects. Fascinated by the human perspective of cities, she is currently doing her Ph.D in Spatial Planning at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto trying to uncover the link between urban design and mobility mindsets. Her current goal is to understand how to decrease car dependency and overcome the resistance to change in societies, for more sustainable cities.
