Abstract
A two-dimensional Zn(II) complex {[Zn(BMIOPE)(TBIP)]·H2O}n (1) (BMIOPE = 4,4′-bis(2-methylimidazol-1-yl)diphenyl ether, H2TBIP = 5-tert-butyl isophthalic acid) has been synthesized and characterized using single crystal X-ray diffraction, IR and elemental analysis. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that complex 1 is a two-dimensional (4, 4) layer. The thermal stability, solid-state photoluminescence properties and photocatalytic properties of complex 1 have been investigated.
