Abstract

The effect of technological parameters on the nickel Nano-microparticles diameter by electrical discharge machining is studied. The results show that the range of particle sizes is suitable for different voltage and pulse widths. With a high voltage value, the ratio of hollow particles with a size of 5 µm is low. With particle sizes in the range of 25–50 µm, the number of particles is concentrated at the high voltage of 30 and 60 A. The range of particle sizes is from 5 to 20 µm, however, the number of particles is concentrated at low voltage values of 9 and 15 A. When the pulse width is small, 120 and 300 μs, it can be seen the concentration and a large number of particle sizes of 10–25 μm. Conversely, when the pulse width is 700 μs, the dispersed particle size can be observed and the number of particles that is larger than 35 μm accounts for more than 20%.
