STS with East Asian Characteristics?

Pages 163-168 | Published online: 01 Oct 2020

Acknowledgments

I am grateful to Wen-Hua Kuo for requesting these reflections on East Asian science and technology studies, and to Adele Clarke, Gabriela Soto Laveaga, and Victor Seow for their generous advice and commentary. Mike Fischer, Erich Staib, and Ken Wissoker kindly approved publication of their email communications.

Notes

1 Anderson to Wissoker, personal communication, n.d. [early February 2010].

2 Formerly positions: east asia cultures critique. I later heard that in 2007 Chen-yung Lin had asked Duke whether it was interested in publishing the proposed new journal, but the press was then overcommitted to recently acquired serials.

3 Staib to Anderson, personal communication, 20 February 2010.

4 Fischer in attachment, Fu to Staib, personal communication, copied to Anderson, 25 February 2010.
