Abstract
(1-x)BiScO3-xPbTiO3 (BS-0.64PT) nano-sized powders were successfully synthesized with sol-gel process. The structure and morphology of the powders was performed by x-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), respectively. The average grain size of the calcined gel-powder was ∼30 nm, that fine grain powder was used to obtain fine grain ceramics with pure perovskite phase. The XRD structural analysis of the sintered ceramics by Rietveld refinement revealed the co-existence of tetragonal and monoclinic phases. The dielectric properties of BS-0.64PT ceramics were also investigated.
