Abstract
The chiral smectic-C to smectic-C (SmC -SmC) phase transition has been studied using dynamic renormalization group (DRG) analysis. Langevin equations are derived from the nonlinear elastic model of the SmC
-SmC phase transition. The DRG equations are derived. The DRG analysis predicts the Kosterlitz-Thouless transition at low frequency limit and Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) fixed point. The DRG calculation confirms that the SmC
-SmC phase transition belong to the KPZ universality class.
