New solitary wave solutions for generalized regularized long-wave equation

Abstract

In this paper, the sine–cosine and the tan h methods have been used to obtain solutions of the generalized regularized long-wave equation. New solitary and periodic solutions are formally derived. The change of parameters, that will drastically change the characteristics of the equation, is examined.
