Turbulent politics, stable science, relevant ethics

Pages 3-15 | Published online: 19 Jan 2018

Abstract

The U.S.’ choice of Donald Trump has greatly troubled the international order. Turbulence in world politics includes many efforts to displace rational discourse about science and in particular environmental problems by ignorant or populist assertions. Consumerism has dissolved many standards, but ethics remain crucial to socio-economic life and politics.
