ABSTRACT
The devastation of war cuts cultivated areas and crop yields, destroys infrastructure, and contaminates the soil and water. Assessment of these impacts on Ukraine’s agricultural land helps to grasp the scale of the issue, develop recovery and risk management strategies, and informs decision-making. Regional differences in agricultural productivity are apparent but the fledgeling land market still operates, albeit hesitatingly.
