Throughout my career a number of individuals have played instrumental roles in my personal and professional development. They are: J. David Quinby, Sr., the Reverend Roderick Sinclair, Professors David Klemmack, Raymond T. Bradley, Roberta Simmons, Mischa Penn, and Andy Collins. Without their wisdom, knowledge, and guidance, this address would not have been possible. In addition, the Department of Sociology at the University of Cincinnati and its faculty have provided an incredibly supportive environment in which to work.
