Aqueous Manganese‐Mediated Reductive Coupling of Nitroarenes to Azoxybenzenes

Abstract

Azoxy compounds have been prepared in good yields by reductive coupling of aromatic nitro compounds with manganese and a catalytic amount of acetic acid in aqueous conditions.
