Abstract
The synthesis of 2,3-disubstituted-endo,cis-norborn-5-ene derivatives is described. Cyclic ureas and cis vicinal diamines substituted with p-tolyl and perfluorophenyl rings were prepared. The use of potassium carbonate as an innocuous CO source for the formation of a cyclic urea was demonstrated.
