Abstract
A simple, efficient, and green approach for the synthesis of novel isoxazolyl pyrroles have been described by a one-pot reaction of isoxazolyl enamino esters and nitroolefins using H2O as a reaction medium and polyethylene glycol (PEG-400) as a promoter. This method demonstrates to be a simple, efficient, and environmentally benign in terms of metal, base free, less-reaction time, excellent yields, wide substrates scope, and PEG-400 can be recovered and reused. Most important of all, this reaction process is green.
