Abstract

Polymer hybrids reinforced with castor oil was developed with a combination of different polymers by the freeze-thawing technique. The hybrids in the form of hydrogels were assessed for different physicochemical characterization and in vivo tissue regeneration efficacy. The developed polymer hybrids demonstrated significant cross-linking interaction within the polymer hybrid matrix. In vivo evaluation revealed a superior reepithelialization and skin tissue regeneration efficacy and indicated that the developed polymeric hybrids functionalized with castor oil emulsion could be a potential biomaterial for tissue regeneration.
