Abstract

Resistance to anticancer drugs and their incomplete delivery to the cancerous tissue are the main causes of the chemotherapy failure. In this regard, colloidal systems offer a promising prospect to deal with these concerns. So, in this study, we tried to formulate and optimize Doxorubicin@Sildenafil citrate-coloaded with a new hybrid of PEGylated stimuli-responsive nanogel/gold nanoparticles (DOX@SC-coloaded PNG/gold NPs) to overcome multidrug resistance (MDR) limitation and improve delivery to the cancerous tissue. Our Results confirmed that co-delivery of DOX and SC which promotes internalization of drugs by integrin mediated endocytosis and ABC transporter inhibition.
