New species and records of the family Microdispidae (Acari: Prostigmata) from Golestan province, Iran

Abstract

The mite Premicrodispus turkmenus Badoodam & Hajiqanbar sp. nov. is described and illustrated found in a vial containing Lucanus ibericus (Coleoptera: Lucanidae) in Golestan Province, northern Iran. Other records of microdispids are as follows: Paramicrodispus scarabidophilus Hajiqanbar and Rahiminejad, 2012 found in a vial containing Dorcus parallelus (Say, 1823) (Coleoptera: Lucanidae); Premicrodispus rackae Khaustov, 2006 found in a vial containing Oryctes nacicornis L. (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae); and Premicrodispus acuitisetus Khaustov, 2009 associated with Pleurophorus anatolicus Petrovitz, 1961 (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae). Two latter species are new to mite fauna of Iran.
