Abstract
An annotated checklist of the Philippine oribatid mites collected mainly from Luzon and Mindanao Islands in 2014 is provided; it includes 15 species, 13 genera and 8 families. The genera Allogalumna and Hydrozetes are recorded for the first time in the Philippines. Three species (Eremobelba okinawa, Allogalumna dilatata, Pergalumna bimaculata) are recorded for the first time in the Oriental region. Two new species, Dometorina sanpabloensis sp. nov. and Hydrozetes mindanaoensis sp. nov., are described and illustrated on the basis of adult specimens. Dometorina sanpabloensis sp. nov. is most morphologically similar to D. rostrata Luxton, 1993, but differs from the latter by the morphology of rostrum and interlamellar setae, number of notogastral sacculi and smooth genital and anal plates. Hydrozetes mindanaoensis sp. nov. is most morphologically similar to H. lacustris Michael, 1882, but differs from the latter by the body size and directions of rostral setae.
