ABSTRACT
A new species of Gaeolaelaps, G. littoralis sp. nov., is described on the basis of adult female specimens collected in the littoral zone of Qeshm Island, in the eastern part of the Persian Gulf. Also, the supralabral process in Gaeolaelaps species and some other laelapid genera were described and its diagnostic potential discussed.
