Three new species of the subfamily Diptilomiopinae (Acari: Eriophyoidea) from Laos

ABSTRACT

Three new species of the subfamily Diptilomiopinae Keifer (Acari: Eriophyoidea: Diptilomiopidae) from Laos are described and illustrated: Acarhis attapuica sp. nov. on Schleichera oleosa (Lour.) Merr. (Sapindaceae), Diptilomiopus vientianensis sp. nov. on Symplocos sumuntia Buch.-Ham. ex D. Don (Symplocaceae) and Diptilomiopus khammouanensis sp. nov. on Tectona grandis L.f. (Lamiaceae). All three new species are vagrants causing no apparent damage to their host plants.
