1 Dennis Mileti’s Disasters by Design (1991) was the result of a National Academies effort, and the contributing authors included David Godschalk, as well as Phil Berke, David Brower, Ray Burby, and Ed Kaiser, as well as an extensive list of what I consider to be the disaster community now broadly represented at the Natural Hazards Workshop, which convenes each July in Boulder (CO).
