Abstract
Social work faculty members are often asked to develop a statement of teaching philosophy as part of their tenure and promotion dossier. Increasingly, field education coordinators are faculty members in schools of social work. It is appropriate and relevant for field coordinators to make visible their philosophy of teaching as it relates to their role in social work field education. The aim of this paper is to share my statement of teaching philosophy as it relates to my role as field education coordinator in a BSW programme in Western Canada.
