Notes

The authors were participants in a final year undergraduate course, GV314, at the London School of Economics in 2004/5. The members of this group were Ella Batten, Lara Correia, Hannah Hedges, Laurence Kavanagh, Edward C. Page, Gregory Paul, Alexander Phua, Nicholas Vivyan and Christopher Wilson. GV314 is the course code of a final year undergraduate course on survey methods in the Department of Government at the London School of Economics. We are grateful to Claire Simpson of the Law Society and Josie Kelly of Aston University for their help in conducting the survey.
