Notes on contributors

Tim H. Blackstock worked for the Nature Conservancy Council and subsequently the Countryside for Wales in Bangor. The main focus of his role was habitat ecology and conservation, with a specialist interest in bryology. Since retirement he has undertaken field bryological projects, mostly on liverwort reproductive biology.

Robbie Blackhall-Miles is a horticulturist with a wide-ranging interest in plant conservation. He owns and manages the ‘Fossilplants’ garden in Llanberis, and has a particular involvement in the propagation of rare species.

Lucia Ruffino is an ecological consultant based in North Wales, with a specialist interest in bryology. She plays an important role in the British Bryological Society as Meetings Secretary, and contributes to various of the Society’s activities, as well as recording with the North Wales non-flowering plant group.

Malcolm Watling is an independent field bryologist, also based in North Wales. He is a botanical artist and has produced illustrations for various bryological publications.
