Abstract
Within the context of the rapid cultural and economic changes that are occurring globally today, the European university must find its place. Its historical cultural heritage forms part of its strength and attractiveness, but it must also be able to adapt to the present realities. The Bologna Process provides a European forum to meet these challenges.
