Hu Ying

Hu Ying is associate professor of Chinese literature at the University of California Irvine. She is the author of Burying Autumn: Death, Poetry and Friendship (forthcoming from Harvard University Press) and Tales of Translation: Composing the New Woman in China, 1898–1918 (Stanford University Press, 2000). She has also translated contemporary Chinese fiction, essays, and classical poetry.
