MIND THE GAP

Attitudes and Emergent Feminist Politics since the Third Wave

Pages 475-484 | Published online: 25 Nov 2010

Notes

1. Thanks to Chilla Bulbeck, Lesley Pruitt, Fergus Grealy and the two anonymous referees.Terms such as ‘third wave’ are, of course, contentious. I use this here to signal a particular way in which feminist theory, activities and agendas were both articulated by and attributed to some young women in the 1990s responding to calls to stake a claim as the next generation of feminists. I intend this to be read as one prominent generational categorisation of feminism rather than as an uncritical descriptor.
